We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you! Next month, we’ll be hosting a Swingset Skirt sew-along, and we’d love for you to join us. This is going to be so much fun, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy being part of this creative journey.
For those who may not be familiar, the Swingset Skirt recently got an update with expanded sizing options—yes, that includes size 14! Liesl has already created a fantastic collection of Swingset Skirt inspirations, and she even put together a dedicated Pinterest board filled with ideas. If you’ve ever wanted to create a twirly skirt for a little girl or one with that adorable drawstring detail, this is the perfect project for you. The Swingset Skirt is rated at a one-of-four-scissors difficulty level, making it accessible for beginners and experienced sewers alike. Join us as we sew alongside our friends and connect with others who share our passion for crafting.
This time around, we’ve got something extra special planned. We’ve assembled a talented panel of six women who will guide us through the process. Let’s meet them!
**Introducing the Swingset Skirt Sew-Along Panel**

To kick things off, during the first week of November, we’ll feature each panelist on the blog. They’ll share their design choices, fabric selections, and tips to make your sewing experience memorable.
**Here’s the Swingset Skirt Sew-Along Schedule:**
- **Day 1 (Monday, November 9th):** Prepare the outer skirt and lining
- **Day 2 (Wednesday, November 11th):** Assemble the skirt and lining, and thread the elastic through the waistband
- **Day 3 (Friday, November 13th):** Create and attach the drawstring, hem the skirt, and complete the finishing touches
