Overview

The sewing thread made of blended polyester and cotton fiber generally contains 65% polyester and 35% cotton. It is made of 3 strands of single yarn of 8.5tex or 10tex or 13tex and twisted into ZS or SZ. Polyester has high strength, good wear resistance, but poor heat resistance; cotton has the advantage of heat resistance. The polyester-cotton blended yarn has the advantages of both, its breaking strength is higher than that of the same specification cotton yarn, and its abrasion resistance is good. Generally, it can be used in an industrial sewing machine with a rotating speed of 4000r/min. The stitching of the sewing is flat, and the shrinkage rate is only about 1%. Due to the development of polyester filaments, most of the polyester-cotton lines were replaced by polyester threads, and only a small amount was used as a burr instead of a fine cotton thread. There are two kinds of coils: tower line and coil.
