L'Oréal Group has acquired 22.8 million shares of Body Shop common stock through JP Morgan Cazenove Co., Ltd., representing 10.49% of the total Body Shop equity. These shares, together with an irrevocable commitment and a call option from L'Oreal Group on the 17th of this month from the Body Shop founders Roddick and other directors, L'Oreal Group currently holds a 53.1% stake in Body Shop.
Lan Zhenzhen also said that L'Oreal will create another high-end brand under its own brand, Yue-Sai. She said that in the future there will be new product launches in Yuexi, and there will also be high-tech cosmetic products with higher content.
Regarding whether Yue-Sai became a luxury cosmetic product and would lose its existing consumer groups, Lanzhen Zhen said that L'Oréal will not abandon some of Midea’s existing mid-range price products, so even adding high-end cosmetics will only increase Yue Sai’s consumer groups.
