Dior Homme's first store in Asia Pacific opens in Shanghai

Dior’s Asia Pacific headquarters announced that the first Dior Homme (Dior Men’s) boutique in the Asia Pacific region of the entire independent building opened. The new boutique is located in a prosperous, high-end consumer location - Hang Lung Plaza, Nanjing West Road, Shanghai, China. This design is inspired by the exquisite buildings of rock music and inherits the unique architectural structure and function of Dior Homme's creative director Hedi Slimane. Dior Homme’s latest achievements shine with the other Dior Homme stores in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Ginza, Kobe and New York.

Dior Homme will be the first to offer the new Dior Homme collection designed by Dior Homme's creative director Hedi Slimane specially designed for the fashionable men in Greater China. The men's wear, sportswear, denim collection, leather goods, accessories and shoes Qualities, watches and perfumes demonstrate the persistence of designers in pursuit of creativity, taste and quality from multiple perspectives and reflect Dior's determination to enter the Asian market.

This brand new 180 square metre boutique is inspired by the Paris design team of Dior Homme and is headed by Hedi Slimane and oversees the entire design process. The entire front door and exterior wall are made of floor-standing transparent glass. Natural light is introduced as far as possible so that every item can be seen from outside the store. The sloped reflectors on the inner wall enhance the lighting effect and the sense of space. The black matte display rack and the stainless steel ceiling steel frame form a sparkling, deep and fashionable country, bringing another trend to the Plaza 66. .

In order to highlight the extraordinary position of this new Dior Homme store, designers have in particular injected a lot of unique design elements. Taking the processing of structural columns as an example, Hedi Slimane subtly integrates the design concept of "form-binding function" into the cylinders in the store, making a structural column that has become an extremely obtrusive at the moment, and creating a Dior Homme-style creative display platform. After the transformation, each pillar becomes a group of ten ring-shaped shelves, accompanied by black and white horizontal and horizontal lighting effects, and practically highlights Dior Homme's classic black horizontal lines, which is called the perfect brush.

Dior Homme's boutiques are uniquely designed to debug the room. This new Shanghai store is no exception. Entering the dressing room, only the left and right corners of the full-length mirror were impressively adorned with black and white photographs by New York photographers Sean Dack and Liam Gillick. The subjects were landscapes, light and close-ups of different objects. It is reported that each piece was handpicked by Hedi Slimane personally to become the decorative material of this Shanghai new store dressing room.
